Evaluation-Rough Cut-Task 54

Our rough cut gives a pretty vague indication of what we are trying to achieve. However there are some positives about the rough cut as some of the scenes look balanced and well lighted.

To start off with, the transitions between the scenes at the moment are to scattered as they switch to different scenes with out a fluid transition which is smooth. However we plan to work on this during editing when we add in sounds. This will allow us to use the background soundtrack as a guide line to switch scenes. We will also be using after to add some effects to the transitions in order to get a feel of that particular part of the rough cut. An example of this would be in the flash back scene using gamma exposure we can create a vibrant flash of white light to signify that she (main character) is having a flash back.

One thing that i like about he overall cut at the moment is that, at certain points slow motions is used and create tension which is one of our main aspects that we are trying to achieve For our audience to feel as if they were in the movie and to experience the fear captured within 3 minutes of watching it. The slowing down the speed of a particular scenes shows the characters is in distress and allows the audience to think how quickly the he/she will have to make the next decision.

Another thing i would improve on is re-shooting some scenes and adding a bit more variety of shots as at the moment the shots used are not very varied. There are a lot of medium shots but not enough close ups of the character We plan to do this by adding more scenes from the flash back scene to vary the shots a bit more. In the cut scene the table looks a bit to tidy and this is not what we want. we wont the table to look old with lots of various tools for murder/ torture on it. However this part would be optional as the scene also has its advantages.

Overall there are few areas of work that need to be competed and redone but not too much. Our main focus for when we get back will be to re film some scenes and to make sure that our editing process will give us the best result possible but it before that we need all the filming completed and done. After this we will be able to start looking at adding sounds to our Tittle sequence which will help bring it to life a bit more

 Some personally feedback for myself to act upon is the editing of our production is to make sure we get the best shots that capture the scene clearlywith lighting that allows us to see everything we need to within the scene whilst keeping that dark gloomy feel of the shot.
