Genre Conventions -Task 14

In this task i found out what makes a genre a specficly uniuqe and what props are use.

Action films usually conatin various props such as:

• weapons (guns bats,)
• fightsing
• fancy sports cars and motorcycles
•  Lots of chase fast pace scenes
• killings taken place
• Destruction of enviroment (windows, houses, shops)
• Destructionof mass quantity
• Hi tech machinery
• protagonists and antagonists
• big city- modern

 Comedywas a hard one as it was harrd to find mise en scène that match the genre:

• Bright places/town/city/well populated areas
• editing sound to add humour
• bright colours are often used. Yellow and blue are often used
• different character types: Idiot, clever, pretty, ugly and the 'regular people'

Horror movies usually contained:

• Deserted or small isolated areas
• alleyways and confined spaces
• abandoned houses
• dark atmosphere (feelthrough use of colours)
