Q7
Looking back at my preliminary film a lot of skills have developed over this period of time and is shown in our film. My preliminary movie was a pretty simplistic film which involved only 2 scenes.
Our film during the pre-production stage involved a lot of research as shown in our blogs. This meant that i had to pick out key bits of information when looking through different informative sites. Due to these research tasks i feel as if my ability to pick out relevant and important bits of information related to the the task set. Another skill i also improved on was be able to plan an idea which we were going to make reality properly in order to know what was going to be achieved and for me this was one of the best skills gained from this piece of work. Organisation was key and helped our team to stay on track. Although organisation was not perfect through out the course it has definitely improved significantly and has helped us to gain a respectable piece of work. Working on a story build allowed me to build a set image and goal of what i wanted to the end the product to be and this was pretty much achieved for the space and time we had set.

Technology wise my camera skills have improved massively. I am now able to film a piece of work once without having any problems and capturing a smooth focused clear shoot. I have learnt about different camera rules such as the 180 degrees rule which is if 2 people are having a conversation on camera that it should be filmed from one side and should remain within 180 degrees on that side. This rule is very useful and although wasn't used in our film it was a still helpful to know. In our preliminary film this was 180 degrees was used and worked successfully. However one of the things that didn't go to plan was camera placement as some of the characters were not fully in the shot. In our final film we made sure that this problem did not occur and that all the shots we used were of a good enough quality.

Editing skills were key for this project and definitely played a big part in the production of our film and simple parts like putting titles into our film became tricky. This was one of the key factors that played a big role when it came to editing as we needed to find some sort of way of integrating our titles into our sequence. W e used a program called after effects which is and adobe based program which allows you to create different effects on not just videos but texts to like our movie titles. After affects was tricky to use but after a while i started to get the hang of it and completed what needed to be done on it. A skill i learnt in after affects is integrating titles into a a moving scene making them look like they were apart of it. Another program that played a big part in this production was definitely adobe premier pro which is were most of the film was put together from shots to sounds. I first used this program on the preliminary task which was decent as some scenes could have had a

better transition. I feel as if the final piece was a step up from a the task before and have gained ability of putting together clips and syncing them to sounds. In order to have done this successfully i had to slow down certain clips ad speed theme up. I also came across a stabilizing effect which gave a cool look to one of our running scenes making it look a bit more
