Summarise findings of the genre conventions.. - Task 14 ( Research)

Throughout the research about different genres here are some of the genres conventions:


1- Action:

• weapon/knives/guns
• fights
• futuristic cars and motorcycle
• cat and mouse chase
• killings-loved ones
• outbreaks in windows, houses, shops
• massive destruction
• Hi tech machinery
• protagonists and antagonists
• big city- modern
• always a motive

2- Comedy:

• Bright places/town/city/well populated areas
• editing sound to add humour
• bright colours are often used. Yellow and blue are often used
• different character types: Idiot, clever, pretty, ugly and the 'regular people'

3- Horror

• small communities/isolated areas
• urban environments/dark streets and alleyways
• 'dark history'. abandoned houses, hotels and asylum places
• dark colours/red/black
