Why is sound so important in film?
Sound is important because it tells us  60% of the story and influences the emotions created by the scene that they are used in or reflecting. Without sounds we wouldn't be able to understand what is happening and not only this but sound helps us as an audience stay interested.

Sound is used to create an atmosphere or build up tension or to lead us in to the next scene. Sound allows us to connect more with the movie gives us information subliminally. It can also be used to highlight emotions within certain characters. An example of this would be when movies use specific songs to represent a time period. This allows us to become more interested in the movie as it creates realism. Sound s also important as it outlines the story. This means it lets us understand  the film better.
